Welcome to the PTA,

Westwoodside PTA is a group of parents/carers who have children attending the school. The committee organise events for the children which we think they will love, as well as to fundraise for the school.

Some of the events we arrange are discos, film nights and tuck shops as well as our bigger events such as the Summer and Christmas Fayres. Funds we raise are used to support the school in enhancing our children’s in school experiences, contribute towards school trips and invest in equipment we hope will benefit the school and children for years to come.

Previously we have helped purchase Smart Boards for the children’s classrooms, a PA and lighting system which enhances discos and Christmas performances. More recently we have bought the Academy a trim trail which all the children love and we have funded new playground markings. We also help to contribute towards school trips and educational visitors to the school such as Sublime Science.

The PTA also works closely with our local village community. We have worked with the Village Pond Lights Committee, J&J Fretwell, The Haxey Hood and The Carpenters Arms. These organisations have made generous donations to the PTA or helped to facilitate the PTA at their own events.
